Position Summary
The Program Assistant supports the daily operations of HBC Pre-K by providing administrative, clerical, classroom, and customer service support, all in a manner that reflects and upholds the school’s faith-based mission and values.This individual serves as a point of contact for families and visitors and helps create a warm, welcoming, Christ-centered environment for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Office & Family Engagement
- Greet families, students, church members, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a timely manner
- Assist in communicating school announcements, newsletters, and updates to families.
- Maintain confidentiality while demonstrating compassion and discretion
- Enrollment & Records Management
- Assist with processing student registration, enrollment, and tuition agreements
- Maintain accurate student files, attendance records, and health/immunization documentation
- Ensure compliance with state licensing and church policies
- Assist with maintaining background check and staff credential records
- Financial & Administrative Support
- Assist with tuition billing, payment tracking, and receipts
- Order and manage office and classroom supplies
- Maintain organized and confidential financial records
- Ministry & Program Support
- Support planning and coordination of chapel services, holiday programs, and special events
- Assist with communication regarding faith-based activities and celebrations
- Support teachers with administrative and classroom needs, including copying, material preparation, scheduling, small group instruction, and supervising bathroom breaks.

- Monday–Friday, 9:00-5:00
- May include occasional evening school events
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 1–2 years of administrative experience (school or church setting preferred)
- Minimum of 2-3 years working with children preferred
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
